I’ve attached a couple of screenshots to show what I mean, the first one is one I took at the time, the second is just an example of the Apple Pay screen I mean. Somewhere between buying and paying the price went up. 
I’ll send a letter to YouTube as it’s clearly an issue at their end, and if/when I hear back I’ll update this incase it can help anyone else. 

Cannot believe in this day and age, one of the worlds biggest internet companies can get away with only being contactable by mail or fax. It’ll cost a fortune to send it by air mail.
