Messages App in Sierra

Hi,

Messages continues in Sierra with a new version. (version 10)

It loses some of the last iChat features that the app was originally based on.

This means that it no longer does Video and Audio Chats within the App.

The Video Menu has gone  and with it the option to allow Video and Audio Only chats when using AIM. Jabber and Bonjour accounts.

You can still have these other accounts  but they only now text chat.

Video Chat is not only from starting an iMessages chat then using the Details option top right to invoke the FaceTime App

Same for Audio Only chats.

Screen Sharing is the same but invoke the Screen Sharing app.

Messages 10 can see the new graphics sent from an iPhone using iOS 10 and can "tapback" them (use right click).

It does not have any of it's own to send.

Reminders:

Messages Menu > Status only refers to non iMessages accounts

There is no Status indicator for the iMessages account (you can either Send and Receive or you can't)

There is no Formatting (the menu went at Yosemite).

The is limited Font changes that can be made in Messages Menu > Preferences > General section.
