Create Alphabetical List of Apps Installed on your iPhone/iPad

  • Connect your iPhone to your computer with USB cable.
  • Launch iTunes.
  • Click on the little iPhone button on the top tool bar User uploaded file
  • Then on the menu: File → Devices → Transfer Purchased from "Your iPhone"
  • After this sync process is completed (might take some time) go to the mobile apps folder open Terminal App
  • Type the following command into the terminal window:
    ls ~/Music/iTunes/iTunes\ Media/Mobile\ Applications > ~/Desktop/App_List.txt
    you can copy/paste that command into the terminal window
    User uploaded file
    This will create a file called App_List.txt on the desktop with a list of all the apps installed on your iPhone sorted alphabetically.
