How to add calendar events to your Calendar application for OS X/Mac OS and iOS

Add a date to your Calendar Application manually

You can add dates manually by selecting the date in the Calendar application then press the Right Mouse Button and select New Event

Then enter the event manually

Devices you have associated with your Apple ID will automatically share these events across all your devices once they are entered on a single device.



Add a date using iCloud

You can share these dates across your OS X/Mac OS and iOS devices using iCloud

Use an App from the App Store

There are a number of calendar apps available for free or for purchase from the App Store which provide additional of holidays and religious observations for a many faiths and beliefs

some examples:

Google Calendar on the App Store

Holidays 2017 edition on the Mac App Store

iWicca by Metrilogics on the Mac App Store


Use a 3rd party subscription or download or an p to append dates to your Calendar application

You can subscribe, or download 3rd party calendars following the directions on those websites.
