Windows 7 users may have difficulty reaching https://getsupport.apple.com at present. This site is used in many of Apple's support routes. To get around this situation, you may need to change your browser's User Agent or use an alternative device to reach the support site.

Typically Windows 7 users clicking the Contact Apple Support links in their web browser will see a message that reads "We'll be back soon". The results as seen in Chrome, Edge and Firefox.

It is important to select a user agent that lies enough so doesn't leave any references to Windows 7 around.

Here is how to make the change in Firefox.

You need to install and use "User-Agent Switcher 0.2.4" in Firefox.

Locate the add-on you need.

Click on the three bars to the right top of your Firefox window.

Click on Add-ons

[ Coincidentally, the image shows how to see what your user agent sees. Do a google search on "show user agent" without the double quotes. ]

Type in user agent switcher in the search box. Pick the "right" one.
