kpmg3: Keyboard and Mouse are unresponsive

I had experienced keyboard and pointer fezzes since I took delivery of my G3 (3yrs ago) They would occur with no particular frequency, sometimes several times a day, sometimes only once or twice in a week. I had tried everything (I thought). I removed 3rd party PCI cards, swapped memory, reinstalled software and operating systems, tried different mice and keyboard.
Recently, I was rearranging my desk and moved the tower closer to the keyboard making the USB extent ion cable unnecessary. The freezing stopped! I’ve discovered an article in the Knowledge Base that addresses this issue (#58250) created 1/20/99
If I wasn't so pleased to have my system running smoothly after 3 yrs., I would kick myself for not researching the Knowledge Base sooner
