Q: I am trying to update the firmware on my iPod with the 2005/09/23 iPod updater, but the iPod updater says that there isn't a firmware image, and won't update the iPod. How do I resolve this?

A: You can update your iPod by choosing the Update iPod command from the menu bar instead of clicking on the Update button. If you aren't updating an iPod shuffle and have the previous updater installed, you can also use that to update your iPod.
