Help! AirPort Utility Can't Find My AirPort!
When AirPort Utility can't find your AirPort (or Time Capsule), here are a few simple things to try:
*Connect the AirPort to your computer with an Ethernet cable and rescan.*
This not only provides a reliable route but also can circumvent problems caused by misconfigured wireless settings.
When connecting the Ethernet cable to your AirPort, be sure to plug it into a LAN port, not a WAN port.
*Unplug the AirPort, plug it back in, let it start up, and rescan.*
+(Any suggestions on what to say here?)+
*Do a hard reset and rescan.*
This will more or less restore your AirPort to its "out of the box" configuration.
Depending on your model of AirPort, the hard reset process will vary. Below are links to instructions for each model:
[AirPort Express|http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1450]
[AirPort Extreme|http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1406]
[Time Capsule|http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1300]
If you can't connect to your AirPort even after a hard reset, your AirPort probably has a hardware problem of some kind. In this case, you may want to take your AirPort to an Apple Store.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Resetting the device shouldn't resolve the computer not seeing it, unless you intentionally set the base station not to broadcast the SSID. I see no reason other than a hardware issue why the computer won't see it, unless the computer has an OS issue.
These issues are sometimes caused by the AirPort's settings' becoming corrupt. Resetting the base station solves that problem.
