If you know the Apple part number, it's easy to make a static link that won't time-out. Unfortunately, Apple does not make it easy to find the part number without first putting the item into your shopping basket.

Here is the format:

http://store.apple.com/1-800-MY-APPLE/WebObjects/AppleStore?productLearnMore=App lePartNumber

So, if you want to make a link to the World Travel Adapter Kit (Apple Part Number M8794G/B), you would use:

http://store.apple.com/1-800-MY-APPLE/WebObjects/AppleStore?productLearnMore=M87 94G/B

It's also possible to make a static link to an item on a different country's store if you know the Apple Part Number in that country and the store name.

The same type of format works for "families":

http://store.apple.com/1-800-MY-APPLE/WebObjects/AppleStore?family=PowerBook

http://store.apple.com/1-800-MY-APPLE/WebObjects/AppleStore?family=iPodshuffle

Note: "SpecialDeals" is a family to take you to the Special Deals page:

http://store.apple.com/1-800-MY-APPLE/WebObjects/AppleStore?family=SpecialDeals

The capitol letters in the "families" are important, for example "specialDeals" won't work. These are some of the most popular "families":

iBook
PowerBook
PowerMac
Macmini
iMac
iPod
iPodx = iPod nano (don't ask me why)
iPodshuffle
SpecialDeals
