Hi !
Some users - especially the ones who use the "Inkwell" technology - may use a graphics tablet with a mouse.
In some cases - especially with computers that do not have a mouse by default, like laptops -, the cursor speed remains relatively low, even when the tablet is correctly set up.
Why ?
You may want to have a look at your "Mouse" control panel, located in the "System Preferences" application. Chances are that the computer is still considering this mouse as the "tablet" and not as a real mouse !
That's why there are no tracking options for the mouse speed and there is only one tab, the one that lets you set the trackpad speed up.
In order to speed the mouse up, you will need to access the"mouse" settings tab...
And how ?
The easiest and the safest way to do that is to plug in a USB mouse, like the Apple Pro Mouse. You will now be able to access the mouse settings tab.
Set the speed to the maximum and unplug the mouse. You should now be able to do any fine-tuning by using the tablet's setting application...
Be careful :These steps should work in most cases. However, each hardware and software configuration can require some fine-tuning. Don't hesitate to post in this forum or to call the manufacturer's website before using this method. Some updated drivers may be available.
