My example is a four page document and I want to capture all pages as single pages.

]1 Go to view > show invisibles to show formatting characters.

]2 In your first page click at the end of the main body text.

]3 Go to insert > section break to enter the "section break" at the end of the page.

]4 Pages will take you to the next page in your document.

]5 Go back to the page you just inserted a “section break” into and click into the main body text.

]6 Go format > advanced > capture pages and select "first page only" (it"s the only option) and name the page.

]7 The pages menu will now have your named page.

]8 In your second page click at the end of the main body text.

]9 Go to insert > section break to enter a "section break" at the end of the page.

]10 Pages will take you to the next page in your document.

]11 Go back to the page you just inserted the “section break” into and click into the main body text.

]12 Go > format > advanced > capture pages and select "first page only" (it’s the only option) and name the page.

]13 The pages menu will now have both named pages.

]14 Carry on the same with each page except the last page [page 4 in my example] which does not need a "section break" at the end of the page.

Remember that in this example Pages thinks that there is only one page in the section each time and so only gives you the "first page only" option. So in this example you could say "first page only" really means "first page only of this section.”

If however no section breaks are inserted into a four page document Pages sees all four pages as one section and so gives all the capture page options.
