Why won't Software Update or Sherlock work?
Are you using a proxy? If so, you need to allow access for
- si.info.apple.com - to allow Sherlock to work.
- swscan.apple.com - to allow Software Update to work.
- helposx.apple.com - to allow Mac Help to work.
