The login window shows all user accounts in alphabetical order. If you have multiple user accounts, you might wish to have the Guest account appear last, where it is out of the way. This is accomplished by changing the "long" user name of the Guest account to, for example, Visitors.
System Preferences -> Accounts does not allow changes to the long user name of the Guest account. Fortunately, it can be done with the following procedure:
1) Download and install the Leopard Server Admin Tools from Apple.
2) Make sure the guest account is logged out.
3) Open Workgroup Manager. In the Address field, enter localhost, and enter an administrator's username and password in the remaining fields.
4) Select the guest account, click Accounts in the tool bar.
5) Click the Basic tab on the right, and in the Name field, change the entry to the desired new name.
6) If you wish, you can also change the Guest account's user login picture here.
7) Quit Workgroup Manager.
The Guest account will keep the same short user name <guest>, but will have the new long user name you specified. The login window should now display the Guest account in its new location.
