Steps to take for applying to Apple Card
I created this short list to assist those having issues with their Apple Card application process. I update this information as often as necessary. If you see a mistake please use the comments section to notify me.
Device settings and other requirements
- On your compatible iPhone , go to settings>general>software update and make sure there are no updates (must be at least 12.4.*).
- Make sure you are using 2 factor authentication - Settings>Apple ID (your name at the top)>password & security>Two-factor authentication - turn on.
- Make sure your region is set correctly for your Apple ID (Change your Apple ID country or region - Apple Support) [Must be USA]
- Make sure your region is set correctly on your phone [Settings>general>language & region - set to your region] (Must be set to USA).
- Make sure you are signed into your iCloud Apple ID Sign in with your Apple ID - Apple Support.
- Restart your phone (A forced reboot may be needed - Restart your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support).
- You need a drivers license, Military ID, or state issued ID, a passport will not work.
- Must be using a passcode/Touch ID/Face ID on device. (settings>Touch ID/Face ID & Passcode - turn one or both on).
- Must be at least 18 years old.

If you were not approved
Did you know that you can file a grievance with the credit union to get your credit report fixed (Disputing Errors on Credit Reports | FTC Consumer Information)? Goldman Sachs actually controls anything to do with the Apple Card not Apple. We are not allowed to give financial advice but I can direct you where to get help with that particular issue.
Lowering your credit limit
If Goldman Sachs increases your credit limit without your permission, you can call them and request that it be lowered. You can request that they do not raise it in the future as well. 1-877-255-5923.
*If you are having issues while using beta software remove it and install the latest public release.
