Apple has changed the data transfer & charging technologies on the latest iPad Pros series 3 and 4 to USB-C.

Lightning is above.

USB-C is above.

USB-C also has been widely used on third party phones and computers as well as Apple's latest notebook computers. Not all USB-C are built alike. Be sure to use the Apple branded accessories for video, and don't confuse USB-C to USB-C transfer cables for power cables, as not all cables of that kind do data transfer.

Apple used the lightning connector on the iPad 4th generation and later, all iPad Minis, all iPad Airs, and iPad Pro 1st and 2nd generation as of 4/13/2020
