Sometime we want to work with the photos for each camera separately, for example to correct an incorrectly set camera clock, or we want to sort the photos taken by different photographers.

Here a smart album will help:

For example, to find all photos taken with my old Canon camera, I could do the following:

For example, to find all photos taken with my Canon camera, I create a new smart album:

  • File > New Smart Album
  • Set the smart rule to "Camera Model - is - Canon EOS 5D Mark II"

The camera Model menu is a bit tricky. If you have photos from several cameras in your library, you need to scroll the drop down menu. But there may be no scrollbar visible. Try to scroll the panel anyway.

If a device has several cameras, like an iPhone with a front camera and a back camera, you can refine the album by searching for the lens as well. This smart album is finding the back camera photos taken with my iPhone 11 Pro Max:

To search for the front true depth camera photos, search for "front TrueDepth":

By searching just for the lens, the album will combine the front camera photos from the iPhone and the iPad in one album.
