Include Handwritten Notes

when Using Send-In Service:

My Most Recent Use of Notes and Send-In Service:

I was sending in my Apple TV due to it vibrating. With the packaging, I wrote some notes down to instruct the technician of where to lean their ear over to hear the vibration. I was told that the vibration was noticed due to my notes and that had I not have mentioned it in detail, it never would haven noticed. I also included notes requesting that debris and dust be cleared out. As a result, I was given a new Apple TV.

How Send-In Service is Performed:

  1. Apple: ships you a box
  2. You: ship the device to Apple***
  3. Apple: services the device
  4. You: get your device back

*** Include Handwritten Notes with the Packaging: Apple may request that you use send-in service in order to get your device serviced. When performing Send-In Service, you can always include a slip of paper in the packaging that includes specific things that you need to point out, such as where the error is occurring and to request that debris and dust be cleaned off of the Logic Board.

Info on Contact Apple Support:

Due to the Coronavirus Pandemic, calls are taking a bit longer to get through. And, that makes sense, because many are at home working out-of-the-house or are taking classes over-the-web, this they have more time on their hands to contact Apple Support. So, it might take a bit to get through to Apple Support. But, just stay on the line, and someone will be with you.

YES! When I send socks in for warranty (Darn Tough socks have lifetime warranty) I send a hand written not so I get the socks I want in return.
