Researching Retailer’s Transaction Info by Original Date of Purchase:
A User Tip Authored by TheLittles of the Apple Support Community:
Researching Retailer’s Transaction Info by Original Date of Purchase:
- Stop By the Store - Ask the Manager on Duty:
Whomever the retailer is, stop by the same store, and ask them if they can track down the Transaction Information by the Store Number. The Manager on Duty (M.O.D.) would most likely be whom to ask, as they would most likely have accessibility of researching such transaction information, and printing you that receipt.
- Call the Retailer's Rewards Program Hotline Phone Number:
If the retailer has a Rewards Program, you could probably find out by calling the Hotline (phone number) of their Rewards Program, requesting them to research it. Upfront, provide them with your Rewards Number.
- A Separate Item in a Transaction that has a Protection Plan Purchased:
You purchased a Protection Plan of a separate Apple product of sorts in the same transaction. It probably would have been sold and registered through AppleCare or AppleCare+. So, log onto the retailer’s own Protection Plan site, and obtain the transaction information you entered when going about registering the protection plan for the other item.
- Method of Payment:
Ask the retailer if they can obtain the Transaction Information basing it on a particular method of payment you used(i.e. Credit Card, Debit Card, Reward Program Coupon, Total Cash Payment, Gift Card). Ask the Manager on Duty to look up such Transaction Information, as they would most likely have access to this.
- eReceipt:
Double check if you requested an eReceipt. If so, search your eMail using keywords such as the date, time, and retailer's name, and store's mailing address. Look in your Junk Folder, and see what pops up. Show them this information.
You have Successfully Obtained the Transaction Information:
Once obtained, you now have the Transaction Information to go about obtaining this receipt for your product.
