The purpose of this tip is to outline general explanation text for response user posts about 2FA.

Customers can choose from these authentication factors: passcodes, trusted numbers, and trusted email addresses. A customer who initiates account recovery (resetting account password) can regain access to their account immediately by using any of these factors: credit card, passcode, trusted device, phone, or email.


Simple

  • No security questions
  • No rescue email option


Simple (Legacy)

  • One security question
  • no rescue email option
  • birthdate on file


Simple (Secondary Authentication)

  • 3 security questions
  • rescue email option


Two-Factor Authentication

  • No security questions
  • Requires verification code
  • Offers alternative verification code delivery methods if code isn't received
  • Recovery key option for regaining account access


Two-Step Verification

  • No security questions
  • Requires verification code
  • Offers recovery key option to bypass verification code if trusted device or phone unavailable
