How to Clear "Other" in your iPhone's Storage - Use Backup
There are two options - Your Computer and iCloud. Your Computer (macOS X Device) may be best the way to go about creating the backup. This is because you may need to upgrade your iCloud Storage, in order to do this, which can be considerably pricey for a common one-time performance. So, use your computer, to save quite a bit.
I. First, View "Other" in iPhone Storage:
- Tap: Settings
- Tap: General
- Tap: iPhone Storage
- View: "Other" (Dark-Grey)

II. Next, rid of "Other" through Backup:
About "Other": "Other" is all "junk" (as we'd commonly say) files (i.e. caches from installed apps). So, to fix this, first backup* your iPhone and then restore** your iPhone from the backup.

”Other” is Now Called “System Data”:
Note: When iOS 15 was released, “Other” was renamed to “System Data”, but that has no impact on what this data is, nor how this is performed.
