How to Create and Use a Black Screen Saver (To Avoid Sleep Mode) -

Use a Black Rectangle Made from a Screenshot:
Take a screenshot of your desktop to perform this. Use a black-colored rectangle to get a black-colored background. In an Album with other items in it, the photos will continue to switch. By creating a new album with only the black rectangle, only the rectangle will reside, and nothing with change.

I. Change your Desktop Background to Black:

- Go to: System Preferences
- Select: Desktop & Screen Saver
- Click: Desktop tab
- Select: Colors
- Select: black [Top-Left Corner Item of Color Pallet]
II. Capture a Portion of your Black Desktop:

- Hold Down: these three keys simultaneously: Shift + Command + 4
- Drag: the cursor along an empty black spot on the screen (with no icons)
III. Drag the Black Screenshot to a New Album:

- Open: Photos App
- Go to: File menu
- Select: New Album
- Drag & Drop: the screenshot into the album
- Click: Import

- Go to: System Preferences
- Select: Desktop & Screen Saver
- Click: Screen Saver tab
- Select: Classic (on left)
- Click: Source drop-down menu
- Select: Photo Library...
- Select: the album created from step 3
- Click: the black rectangle (screenshot from Step 2)
- Click: Choose button
V. Preview the Screen Saver:

- Hover: your cursor over the Screen Saver
- Click: "Preview"
