How to Fix an iPhone in a Boot Loop:
Is your iPhone stuck in a boot loop? Have you just recently updated your iPhone(i.e. Installing Music app bug fixes)? If so, your iPhone is probably still trying to perform this update, yet, it is stuck in this boot loop. So, to fix this, try completing the update and then backing it up. To complete this, perform the following in the order provided:
First, Update the iPhone:
1. Connect: the iPhone your your computer
2. Force Restart your iPhone, while it is Connected.
Perform this for one of the following four iPhone series...
- iPhone X, iPhone XS, iPhone XR, iPhone 11, iPhone 12, iPhone 13 or After:
1. Press and Quickly Release: the volume up button
2. Press and Quickly Release: the volume down button
3. Press and Hold: the side button
4. When the Apple Logo Appears: release the button.
- iPhone 8 or iPhone SE (2nd generation):
1. Press and Quickly Release: the volume up button.
2. Press and Quickly Release: the volume down button.
3. Press and Hold: the side button.
4. When the Apple Logo Appears: release the button
- iPhone 7:
1. Press and Hold: both the volume down button and the Sleep/Wake button at the same time.
2. When the Apple Logo Appears: release both buttons.
- iPhone 6s or iPhone SE (1st generation):
1. Press and Hold: both the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time.
2. When the Apple Logo Appears: release both buttons.
3. Don't Release: when you see the Apple logo.
4. Keep Holding: until you see the Recovery Mode screen.
5. Choose Update: when you get the option to restore or update. iTunes will try to reinstall the iOS without erasing your data.
Then, Back Up the iPhone:
Once the update is successful, make a backup of your iPhone using iCloud or your computer. That way you can have something to restore it from, should anything go wrong with the update from here on out.
