Facebook Freezes When Using Hardware Keyboard in iOS 15

(Note: Facebook issued update 346.0 of 12/10/2021 which eliminates the need for the workarounds described below. To see whether you have it, go to Settings > Facebook > Version. If you don't, then get it to solve the freezing problem and turn Full Keyboard Access OFF.)

Below are possible temporary workarounds for issues that can arise when using the Facebook app with iOS 15 with a hardware keyboard:

Facebook freezing when trying to go to comments?

Accessibility -> Keyboards -> full access -> ON

Add item to the Control Center to turn Full Access on and off easily

Go to settings on your iPad. Choose Control Center. Scroll down to More Controls. Click on Accessibility Shortcuts. Then it will prompt you to choose which shortcut you want. Choose Full Keyboard Access.

Space bar not working?

Accessibility -> keyboards -> full keyboard access - > commands -> Basic

(scroll down to Activate,, clear “Space”)

Blue box all around text input boxes?

Accessibility -> keyboards -> Color -> select “white”

Mini keyboard icon in the way?

General -> Keyboard -> All Keyboards -> Shortcuts

(Slide the “Shortcuts” option to off (slide left). **NOT the “.” Shortcut**)
