New Icons for Input Sources/Keyboard Layouts

With version 12.4 of MacOS Monterey, Apple has replaced the multicolored country flag icons used to identify many of its different language input sources/keyboard layouts with monochrome square icons containing letters that indicate the language. Some examples of the new and old are shown below.


Users who want to continue using a flag icon for an input source can check out these apps: YouType, Keyboard Switcheroo, Colorful Input Menu Flags, and Ukelele.
