Battery health on the iPhone. It is a thing that many people have questions about. What is it exactly? Should you worry when your battery health is dropping in a few months after you bought a new iPhone? Can you do anything about dropping battery health? I will try to shine some light on this questions to make it more clear for you, users of iPhone.

To start with, batteries are degradable products. With use, they tend to wear out. This is completely normal. Charging cycles will tear your battery out. This is normal if you see the chemical processes that occur in a battery when charging-and de-charging it. There is not much you can do to stop the wear out of your phone battery. The one tip I will give you though, Is don't charge until it is necessary. As said before, the wearing out of the battery is caused by repeating charging cylces. And repeating charging cycles will always occur, as you charge your device everyday.

Do you need to worry when your iPhones battery health drops to 98% after a few months of use? I can reassure you there, you don't need to worry. This is completely normal. It can drop a few % and then keep still for very long. For example: my old 4 years old iPhone XR started to drop very fast in the begin, but it took 4 years to reach a health of 83%. And for now my 6 years iPhone XR, in use by my mom at the moment, still is on 83%

But when do you need to think about replacing the battery? When the battery health drops lower then 80% it may be time to seek service for your battery. But, with standard iPhone usage, it will take your phone multiple years to get to that point, everything will be allright if you see your battery health drop. Most of the times it is normal battery behavior, and you should not have to worry about it.
