The posts (questions, replies) on these forums allow the inclusion of images (photos, screenshots, symbols, etc.). Users can upload images from their own device, or copy-paste from the apple.com domain.

The menu of options when posting a message on Apple Support Communities is in the bar below the message text box:

Use the image icon to insert an image at the cursor location in your text.

Click on that icon to locate an image on your local drive.

Select a file in a supported image format (.jpg, .png, .gif, .heic), then click ‘Upload’ or ‘Choose’.

New: Drag-and-drop is now also supported!

Inserted images wider than the content width of the site, will be scaled down visually. Inserted images may also be scaled down visually by the posting user. This does not affect the image file itself (bytes, pixels).

It is advised to use images small in byte size (edit as needed), as every reader has to load these images. You will get an error notification for images that are too large.

[This document is a fork of the content from a previous tip, as the changes bring it to the 2023 situation, and bring what I have to say about it, and I think these changes may benefit the reader.]
