MacBook Language Keyboard Codes

MacBook buyers sometimes need to determine what language keyboard in on a machine when all they have is a sealed box or the Part Number.

One way to do this is to Google the Part Number (e.g. MLY43LL/A) and find a store which sells it and which states in writing exactly which keyboard it has. Note that sometimes the pictures which stores provide are generic in nature and show the US keyboard rather than the actual one.

Another way is to check the two letters before /A in the Part Number. Below is a list of codes for Apple's different language keyboards which I have been able to get from various online sources. They may not be totally accurate, so any comments by readers to improve that would be welcome.
