Dealing with OS upgrade problems
We have seen that some people experience serious issues when new operating systems are installed. Sonoma seems to be one. Then some people choose to revert back to a previous OS, which is difficult and problematic. Here is what I do. I startup from an external SSD. I also have another SSD to install new OS upgrades onto. Then I can operate from either disk. If the new OS is seriously problematic, the I simply stop using it until a "fixed" update is released. Since my earlier OS is still installed on its own SSD it is no problem to revert to using it.
