Written for Photos iOS on an iPhone with iOS 17 or later.

For some reason we cannot copy and paste the precise location of a photo from the info of a photo and paste it directly into the search field of Maps. It will just paste the name of the place, not the coordinates.

What I am doing is, is to view the photo enlarged on my iPhone.

Then I swipe up to see the details. There is a tiny map with the location name as a link in blue below it.

When I tap the blue link below the location map, this will open the precise location in maps and show the location in maps, marked and with the location Info open. The info is showing the coordinates and we can open a route to this place or use the (...) menu to save this place to a guide or as a favourite. We can also drop a pin to create a new marker.

We can now copy the coordinates, zoom in to see the precise location, change the map type and more, and save the place for further reference.
