Best Printer

With all due respect there is no "best printer" for an iMac, there are lots of printers available all are fine. However, as we have no real idea of your needs or usage amounts are then all we can offer is opinions. My recommendation is to take some time and think of how you intend to use the printer and make a list of your needs and possible wants. Then go looking at all of the major printer manufacturers including:

• Brother
• HP
• Cannon
• Epson

to see which printer(s) comes closest to your list and then go shopping to actually look at them, examine print quality and check out the build quality and then you can narrow your list down to make a selection for YOU!

Personally I have had all of the major manufacturers at one time or another, currently I am using a Brother AIO color laser that is a great machine for the past 7-8 years. We don't print much anymore as we are both retired and what I do print now is black & white about 80% of the time. I probably do more scanning than printing so the document feeder and large input tray (120 sheets) is helpful for longer documents. My wife likes to print from her iPad which requires wireless printing and must support several protocols (AirPrint & Wi-Fi) and this device delivers those.

But those are my needs and most likely are not even close to yours. There are many models out there because everyone's needs are different which make it so there is no "best" out there. Which one you select is completely up to you and I''m sure you will find one that closely meets your needs.
