Brief Summary

A few days ago, I was shopping on the App Store and made a purchase of an App.

Very shortly after purchasing, I had immediately regretted the purchase when my iPhone started overheating rapidly. 🔥📲

To avoid damage to the battery and the internal components of my iPhone, I had to close the App immediately and take corrective action (including powering off my iPhone for a few hours).

This is just one example of the need to ask for a refund.

Your situation may be different, but that’s okay.

Here is the complete guide towards a requesting a refund.

Final Thoughts

  • Don’t make a habit of asking for refunds
  • Keep in mind that Apple has the final word on their decision to grant a refund and refunds are not guaranteed for any purchase from the App Store
  • Always safeguard your passwords and never allow anyone to borrow your device for an online purchase
  • If a child makes a purchase on a parents' device, the parent accepts full responsibility for the purchase
