Once Scanned and All Found Items are Removed, Perform this...

Frist...

I. Open Terminal:

1. [Hold Down: command key + Press: spacebar]
2. Type: Terminal
3. Press: return key

II. Move: ~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.finder.plist to the Desktop:

Use this Terminal command:

mv ~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.finder.plist ~/Desktop/

then…

III. Relaunch Finder:

Use this Terminal command:

killall Finder

and then, finally…

IV. Restart the Machine:

Save what need be and then close all open windows and apps.  Once all is closed, perform the restart…

1.     Go to: Apple Menu

2.     Select: Restart…

3.     Uncheck: Reopen windows when logging back in

4.     Click: the Restart button
