Pages document without Page Breaks

Some users have asked how to create a Pages document without page breaks. Their aim is to scroll smoothly through a Pages presentation, or to export to a web page without page breaks. Sometimes a user simply wants to hide the gaps between pages.

The answer is to create a Custom Paper Size that resembles a scroll: a very, very long, continuous page. 

Start with your document. My document is formatted for A4 sheets of paper. We will change that. On the panel on the right, Document > Printer and Paper Size, choose Other for the paper size.

Menu > File > Page Setup

That takes you to Paper Size > Manage Custom Sizes

Click on the + sign bottom left to create a new Custom Size. I named mine Scroll and assigned 10000 mm to the Height. A bit excessive, but we can handle that!

Menu > View > Show Rulers (Command R)

Scroll the screen to the end of your content. Mine is at about 175 centimetres. Well, I did set the Page Height at 10,000 millimetres (10 metres)!

To isolate the large, blank, unused space below, I manually inserted a Page Break: Menu > Insert > Page Break (Command Return). Print (or export) only Page 1.

Tested in Pages 14.5 running under macOS Sequoia 15.7.3

P.S. Numbers does not support Custom Paper Size.

A post in the Numbers forum stimulated me to create this "Scroll" User Tip in the Pages forum. Perhaps a Copy & Paste from Numbers to a Pages document that is formatted as "Scroll" would work?
