Hello and welcome again.
OS X 10.7 Lion and above "PPC programs are not supported"
"PPC" refers to the previous processor family Mac's had before they switched to Intel processors.
OS X 10.1-10.6 can run PPC based software, OS X 10.7 and later cannot.
You may want to further check out if running Snow Leopard (10.6) is possible on your machine in some manner which if Rosetta is installed when 10.6 is installed, will then run the older PPC programs.
Snow Leopard partition on 10.7+ Mac
OS X 10.8 Mountain Lion and above "Gatekeeper"
See something like this when you double clicked to open a program or installer?
This is Gatekeeper which is preventing you from installing your software that's not from MacApp Store and/or a Apple Identified Developer
You have two options.
1: You can hold the control key or right click on the app and select "Open" and approve through Gatekeeper, this is a temporary bypass and shouldn't nag you again when running this particular program.
2: You can change your Gatekeeper settings in Apple Menu > System Preferences > Security > General
Unlock the lock with your Admin password if enabled.
Having Gatekeeper on provides some security, but not perfect as Apple developer id's are stolen and the fake credentials used to bypass Gatekeeper.
A developer can turn malicious at anytime as well, so it's no guaranty that Gatekeeper is a iron clad method to keep malware off your machine.
It does add another hurdle they have to jump over to try to trick you into installing malware on your machine (aka: "a Trojan") but if they do steal a developer id, then it's a heck of a lot easier to trick people as users immediately trust the Trojan because Gatekeeper didn't give any warning.
There is still no substitute for your own brains, trust the source of the download, ask the opinions of others before downloading.
Make backups of your machine so in case you so get tricked, you can wipe and restore.
