Battery cycle limit determines the life span of Mac notebooks. If you are the owner of aged MacBook you should know when your laptop exceeds charge cycles limit. It is recommended to replace the consumed battery when it is over the limit.

In order to check battery cycle count on your Mac click on the Apple logo and hold down the option key. Once you see “System Information” at the top click on it. Select “Power” from the list. Pay your attention to “Cycle Count” section.User uploaded file

Here you may determine the maximum battery cycle counts for your Mac notebook: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201585. Find the model of your device on the list and compare to numbers in “Health Information” section. Maximum cycle count for my device is 1000. 1000- 245= 755. This means that I can charge my Mac at least 755 times until it needs to be replaced.
