If the Screen On Your iPhone Displays Only Black and White Colors
What to do do if the screen on your iPhone suddenly turns to black and white colors just like in movies from the previous century?
If you have not dropped or damaged your device there is nothing to worry about yet. Solution may be as easy as a pie.
First thing to try is a standard restart procedure. This works as a reboot on your Mac.
- Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button
- Press and hold on the Home button
- Keep holding both buttons until the display turns off and back on with Apple logo on it.
If it does not change the situation Grayscale option may be active. In order to bring back things to normal try to turn off this function. Navigate to Settings/General/ Accessibility and disable “Grayscale” option.
If all aforementioned steps do not help you have one more thing to try. Triple tap the Home button and uncheck zoom option. You may also disable zoom by navigating to General/ Accessibility/
In case previously suggested solutions do not work try to reset settings on your device. Go to Settings - General - Reset - Reset All Settings
If this does not help, restore your device to factory settings as the last hope. Note that this will erase the data from your device.
Take a look this Apple Support article: Use iTunes to restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod to factory settings - Apple Support.
If your efforts and all suggested steps do not change the situation it is high time to take your device to the Apple Store for further diagnostics.
