Hi,

I was wondering if somebody has already tried out Paragon Snapshot: http://www.paragon-software.com/home/snapshot-mac/index.html

If so, do you have any good/bad experiences you can share?

Thanks
Björn

Hmm, am I the only one testing this?

This is beta software and while it does say on their product page, 'includes Mac OS X Server', it does not specifically state that it is designed for a server environment. I would keep an eye on it but wouldn't even begin to think about testing it until it is past its first post-release revision.

I've been running it for a while now on my test environment and apart from some confusion over the commandline syntax it's all been good. Done a couple of restores of a advanced server with basic services running and everything ran smoothly. No production testing as of yet but intend to run it side by side with CCC over the next couple of weeks.

    Cheers

Thanks for your post, Bjorn. I just signed up as a beta tester and will be installing it tonight on my home machine, a MacBook.

I'm hoping Paragon Snapshot will allow live backups of VMware Fusion virtual machines.

Please let us know if you have any updates with your testing.

    Many thanks!

I have logged a service request with them regarding this. their response was something like.
+The current beta version is not compatible with 10.6 MacOS.+
+We are working on an update to remedy this and it should be available shortly.+

    Cheers.
