Probably a simple solution for this, but my Apple TV has disappeared from my iTunes. When I click on the Apple TV icon in the Preference window, Look for Apple TV is checked, but none shows up. I rebooted the Apple TV to no avail. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks

Have you made sure that the apple tv is connected to your network and the internet is working? (try accessing the itunes store on the apple tv, does it work?)

Reboot/unplug the AppleTV..wait for it to boot
Reboot/unplug your Network...wait for it to load
    Reboot your Computer

In that order. This will usually solve your issue.

My ATV disappears from the "device" list in iTunes every now and then. I just close iTunes and reinvoke it. ATV then appears in the list.

There have been countless posts regarding the disappearing act, and there seem to be many reasons and fixes. I suggest doing a search and trying various remedies that have been proposed.
