In the past, they all just download when I open any sub-folders.
Currently Being ModeratedAug 21, 2009 11:53 AM (in response to iPhoneWannabe)I am experiencing the exact same problem since upgrading to 3.0.1.
It is very frustrating because I work at client sites and my phone is my email contact with the outside world.
I am hoping that Apple fixes this exchange issue pronto.
My phone was working perfectly with 3.0 ... the only ... ONLY ... change I made was to go to 3.0.1.
I resolved the overheating issue by doing a hard rest.
However, I had to switch my exchange account to "fetch" to stop the battery drain and it is not synching at all now.Toshiba R20 tablet, iPhone OS 3.0.1, iPhone 3G

-- Removed the exchange account prior to doing hard reset.
-- Did hard reset.
-- Shut phone down normally, then re-started it.
-- Added exchange account back.
-- still the same problem ...
My iPhone will only update the inbox after I open my mail application (i.e. either opening Outlook on my laptop or opening web mail thru OWA).
I think it is an issue with something happening at the exchange server.

Currently Being ModeratedAug 26, 2009 12:33 PM (in response to mulinar)We run Exchange 2003. When our users have this issue, we do one or both of these steps to remedy the condition:
1. See if your support team can delete your phone partnership on the server for ActiveSync. Sometimes, this is the only step required to "fix" the issue.
This tool for Exchange will allow that partnership to be deleted on the server:
2. Connect the iPhone to the computer and sync with iTunes.Mac OS X (10.5.7), iPhone 3G S
