Open the Labs settings (little green beaker/bottle at the top right and enable "Advanced IMAP Controls"
Now go to the Labels tab and uncheck all the Show in IMAP checkboxes that you don't want to see.MBP MB604LL/A 17" 2.66Ghz/4.0GiB/320GB; MB MB061LL/B 2.0Ghz/4.0GiB/500GB, Mac OS X (10.6), TV; iPod Classic 6G 80GB; iPod Touch 2G 8GB

in leopard i had only the green box.
now with snow leopard i have the red box too. i've managed to delete all the folders under the top [Gmail] folder, but i don't know if i can delete the [gmail] folder and the account name (mafetapaz and guerra.filippo).
i just want the "CASELLE" (inbox, sent, trash can, spam) box...
That's the way IMAP work if you want just the inbox file of Mail then maybe POP will do not sure or switch to Mobile Me

With Gmail set up as IMAP, that is the way they have looked in Leopard, as well. Those are folders on the Gmail server, and those would be normal to see?
However, if you click on the small triangle beside Guerra.Fillipo you will not notice the details of the folders.

Before, my gmail account was just listed up in the top row of accounts... now there is an extra folder I have to click on down below just to see my email.
I want it back the way it was!MacBook Pro C2D | iPhone 3GS, Mac OS X (10.6), iPod Classic
Currently Being ModeratedSep 1, 2009 2:39 PM (in response to Adam Christian Smith)I have opposite problem: I want these folders, so I need set up IMAP Gmail account. But there is no any box next to 'Automatically set up account' which I need deselect (by Gmail guide).
Any help?iMac 20", Mac OS X (10.6)
