Spotlight indexing forever after 10.6 install
I recently upgraded to Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard and have been having some weird issues lately. Along with strange/erratic freezes, Spotlight keeps trying to index my hard drive. I can use it for about 1 minute until it goes into a long period of estimating the index time until finally stating some long, unreasonable time such as 90 hours. I can understand if Snow Leopard needs to re-index Spotlight for the new version, but 90 hours? Come on. Leopard only took about 3 hours, if I recall correctly.
Does anyone else have this issue? Any help or knowledge would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
