Disc utility

why do I get an error-61 when I try to create a disk image with mac disk utility? I just upgraded to snow Leopard.

    A -61 error means that you don't have write permissions to the folder where you want to create a file.

    You can either create the disk image in another folder, or if you think you should have write permissions to that folder you can fix it if you have admin permissions. Select the folder in the Finder and choose Get Info. Down at the bottom are the permissions, which you can change if you press the pad lock allow changes.
