Q: Kerberos "Can't get profile to fetch realms"

Every ten seconds for days now My mac has been throwing this error every 10 seconds.
system.log
Aug 9 21:49:17 sean-murtlands-macbook-pro edu.mit.Kerberos.krb5kdc[20021]: Can't get profile to fetch realms
Aug 9 21:49:17 sean-murtlands-macbook-pro com.apple.launchd[1] (edu.mit.Kerberos.krb5kdc[20021]): Exited with exit code: 1
Aug 9 21:49:17 sean-murtlands-macbook-pro com.apple.launchd[1] (edu.mit.Kerberos.krb5kdc): Throttling respawn: Will start in 10 seconds

Anyone know why this is happening, and how to fix it?

I've got the same problem. The only solution I have found elsewhere is a clean reinstall.

I did a clean install, now I'm getting this instead.
    8/13/09 1:09:36 AM edu.mit.Kerberos.krb5kdc[37732] krb5kdc: didn't find any realms when starting
    8/13/09 1:09:36 AM com.apple.launchd[1] (edu.mit.Kerberos.krb5kdc[37732]) Exited with exit code: 1
    8/13/09 1:09:36 AM com.apple.launchd[1] (edu.mit.Kerberos.krb5kdc) Throttling respawn: Will start in 10 seconds

This one seems okay as I'm not connected to any networks which use Kerberos as their security protocol. (Unless I'm misunderstanding the purpose of Kerberos)

This issue is that Kerberos is not configured ... a simple fix from a Terminal window:

    sudo /usr/libexec/configureLocalKDC

And everything is happy ... now as to why the launchd rule in /System/Library/LaunchDaemons/com.apple.configureLocalKDC.plist does not work - I have no idea
