Every time I try to copy my iTunes library from my iMac to my Powerbook by clicking on my shared library in iTunes in my Powerbook, the iTunes on my iMac where the library is stored crashes.

Any help? Thanks!

The sharing stops when I try to view between a PC and a Mac. I was able to view the PCs share, but after a few operations (open a new window or trying to import a song), the sharing "crashes" and I have to restart it.

It seems a bit unstable right now. iTunes still continues to run, but the Sharing ceases.

I have about 7000 items on the PC.

A friend at work noticed this too when transferring large files.
He thinks it is some kind of internal 32 bit overflow 'cause if he transfers < 2G of stuff in 1 shot, it works.
My hunch is that since apple usually shows a progress bar based on size (like when stuff is transferring to your ipod) this could be why the quantity of data seems to matter. 'cause the # of items clearly isn't hitting any kind of normal boundary. If you have > 4 billion files in your itunes library -- you need to send me some of your excess cash
