Sometimes when I log in, as the cube flips over, I see photos that I've used as desktop photos in the past flash for a split second. This hadn't happened in a while, until just now I logged in and saw a desktop I haven't used in at least a year, much less on Snow Leopard.
i guess it's not really a problem, i just wonder why it does this? anyone else get this?

this can happen due to the corruption of the desktop preference file. delete the file /users/username/library/preferences/com.apple.desktop.plist and log out/in. your desktop background will be reset to the defaults so you'll have to set it up again.
