Exchange issue: send/receive mail fine - can't delete or move messages

Hauke? From Munich? Wondering if you were the same guy.

Anyway, I found I only have this problem when I receive duplicate messages from Exchange, which happens once every few days. I can't figure out why, but I can't delete the duplicate messages. None show up on webmail nor on the iPhone. Only Mail has these messages.

Does Apple even look at these and respond, or do they just leave it up to the users to figure it out?

I am having the same error when deleting and duplicate message problems. I can delete one of the duplicates but not the second. The problem just started today as I've been on Snow Leopard for a week.

I have had this problem since upgrading to Snow Leopard. Two copies are received. Read and move one. The other cannot be trashed or moved - server error.

Here is an observation that might help:
I seem to get the duplicate,or phantom mail messages only when I start Mail after, say, an overnight shut down. If Mail is running, new incoming messages are not duplicated.
This happens ONLY with my MacBook Pro Exchange account, only locally. No phantoms on Outlook, Outlook Web Access, or iPhone.

Add another to the list. Running 10.6.1 connecting to Exchange 2007 just fine for send/receive, but moving to folders gives that error. VERY annoying... I'm probably going to flip back to Entourage until this is sorted out.

Add me to this list as well. I think there are at least four threads discussing this same issue with no resolution.

I currently have the same issue however we have 2 Exchange 2007 servers and it works fine on one but not the other. I am looking at the differences on them but have not found anything yet. I will keep everyone update

Add me to the list for this problem as well. I just updated to 10.6.1, no improvement.
Read an article on this blog about it:
    http://www.itwriting.com/blog/1743-apple-snow-leopard-and-exchange-the-real-stor y.html
Apparently Apple told them it would improve after the update.
    Definitely not!
    Happens with deleting and moving.
Mail is totally useless this way with Exchange.

So I think I have resolved the problem. As I had stated earlier, I had 2 Exchange servers and it was working on one of them. After comparing the two servers I noticed that the server that worked had Exchange Server SP1 Rollup 7 on it. So I installed the latest Rollup (9) on the server and it seems to working perfectly. It has only been running for about a hour so I will post again if it breaks.

    Thanks

OK, I advised my hosted exchange provider. Let's see.
But what estranges me is that Apple does not respond or react at all to this topic, while it is quite important since it makes the new feature totally useless and thereby closes the door on the business community who want to step away from Entourage.

Somehow this issue resolved itself on my end. It was happening inconsistently and I haven't had the problem in about 5 days. The 10.6.1 upgrade may have fixed it for me.

I hope that works for you, but all my servers are on rollup 9 and we still have the issue. It may be rated to clustering.

I've been looking at a lot of the posts concerning this issue and I am posting my console messages to each of them. This is the console message I get when trying to delete a message:

Actually, despite it does not really solve the issue, a usable workaround I found.
If I take the box off line, and work on my mail, move stuff, delete stuff, whatever I want, everything OK.
Then, I rightclick on the box, select synchronize, and voila, everything is synced to the server.
Now I am no IT expert, but I would think this MUST be a problem on the app side not on the server?
