Q: "Classic" game help

I just purchased a copy of Star Trek: TNG -- A Final Unity off of eBay to run on my new Intel Mac. Keep in mind the following:
-- I never owned this game when it was first released (my PC back then was too slow and by the time I purchased a faster machine I quit caring about Star Trek, and by the time I started enjoying it again I had too powerful of a PC or something)
-- This is my first Mac
-- I am running Snow Leopard

I purchased it on a whim thinking it would work since Mac wouldn't have the compatiability issues like Vista and XP with earlier DOS games.

I guess I was wrong? The system requirements recommend a Power PC but says it wil play on a 33MHz 68040 processor, 12 MB of RAM and a quad speed CD-Rom. I've read about stuff like Rosetta and some kind of Classic environment in earlier versions of OSX.

I am totally lost -- any help would be appreciated. Did I just buy a 15 year old paperweight?
