Of course, people only come here for 1 of two reasons. 1) because they have a problem so you will mainly hear from those that yes have a problem. Or 2) those that come here to help.
While just from opinion, it does appear that there are issues with 3.1 for more people than normal (every upgrade for any software for so many users with different computers, setups, etc will have some issues for some).
With that said, I have 3 iPhones in my family and none of us have issues. I have many friends with iPhones (double digets) and when talking to any of them, only 1 has said he has seen some battery life issues which is the main thing I read about in here.

As someone badly affected by the 3.1 "upgrade", I would urge against upgrading. See these posts for the problems that I'm having:
"Since 3.1. Unable to make calls, text or go online unless I restart iPhone"
"Can't dial out or receive calls intermittently with 3GS and 3.1"
I know two other people that have upgraded. One person is not having the problem, one person is.
Lesson learned for me. Never put and upgrade on my phone until I read about it.

Currently Being ModeratedOct 2, 2009 7:54 AM (in response to homeboy030686)Thanks guys^^ appreciated all your advice. I don't have problem with the iPhone 3GS, but just wanna upgrade it to keep it up to date. Luckily you guys told me. Really sorry to heard those who suffer from the OS 3.1 issue. Anyway, I already posted my feedback to Apple. Hope they'll make less mistake on the coming OS upgrade. Everyone will have mistakes, but if they willing to learn from it, I'll still support them^^ I love Apple's product.Dell Inspiron 6400, iPhone OS 3.0.1
