Q: ISO- special iPod Accessory

An old aquaintance of mine had a dock for her iPod that she plugged into a normal electrical outlet, and then tuned in her stereo (or any other radio) to 87.5fm (I think). She could then listen to everything on her iPod. Where can I find one of these? (Maybe they're everywhere, and I just don't know what I'm looking at.)
Also, what model iPod is it for? I have yet to get one, because I really want the dock.
Thanks in advance.

Sounds like a dock with an FM transmitter. I've never seen such a dock but, obviously, based on your report, they exist. I'd google something like "FM transmitter ipod dock".

For what it's worth, I find that, unless you live in an extremely rural area, where there are few radio stations, finding an "empty" frequency is very difficult and the sound quality is not great.

When you say that you "have yet to get one, because I really want the dock", do you mean you have yet to get an iPod? What model(s) such a device would work with would truly depend on the manufacturer. You'd have to find the device first then reveiw the specs.

    Best of luck.

I'm not really sure if this is a question or a suggestion. However, as it is largely unrelated to the original post, if it is a question, you'd be better off starting your own thread with an approriately descriptive subject line.

If it's a suggestion, you can send feedback to Apple here:
