I made a few tests, and found some 'bad guy' in my Lib ...
Patch/HowTo on my website:
offers a very rude patch of half of that problem.
a) the Title's Preview Pane still shows the infected, damaged titles ...
b) but the Project's Preview is now fully functional
c) and exported Projects contain transparent titles ...
hope that helps ..MacMini 1.66/1.25GB/QT_X/iLife09 + iMHD6 + FCE4, Mac OS X (10.6), email@example.com
Currently Being ModeratedOct 13, 2009 10:16 AM (in response to cecemf)I'm having the same crashing, hanging, problems with iMovie, IDVD, iPhoto slideshows, running under Snow Leopard.
To what extent can we rely on APPLE to remedy the problems they seem to have created?
Could this be a memory capacity issue? I have 2 meg.MacBook, Mac OS X (10.6.1)
Update iMovie 8.0.5 is out !!!!
Hopefully that would solved our issues !!!
Testing now so far so good !!! Aluminum iMac 20"+4Go+500Go+Radeon HD 2600 PRO+iPhone 3G (3.0) 16Go black; PS3, Mac OS X (10.6.1), Boot Camp with Windows 7 for playing games only !!!
Currently Being ModeratedOct 17, 2009 7:42 PM (in response to iggipop)I used AppCleaner to remove iMovie 09, then I reinstalled it from the disc. But that didn't solve the crashing problem and imovie still doesn't work.
I would like to import photos from iPhoto by following the directions and dragging them from the iphoto viewer to the project window, but this won't work. And, if I do anything else, imovie crashes.Mac OS X (10.6.1)
Currently Being ModeratedOct 18, 2009 9:41 AM (in response to iggipop)OK so here is what I'm experiencing.
I take a clip and change the speed. Then I add transition from the previous clip to this one and all of a sudden I cannot play the video again. I can't delete the slowed down clip even. I can play video that is in the events library, but not that in my project. When I do mouse over the beginning of my video and play I can hear the sound but it is like it is far off in the distance and the video is just solid gray. I have run into many other similar bugs when changing the speed of a clip but could always delete the clip, quit, relaunch, and try again. With this problem I added a transition and can't even delete the clip. Apple please address this issue. Thanks!Mac Pro Early '09, 2.66ghz, Mac OS X (10.6.1)
